Webinar on Studying in the Netherlands: An Alternative to the UK and USA

Many families considering English-language degree programmes initially think of Britain or the United States. Yet the Netherlands merits serious consideration. Tuition fees for EU citizens stand at around €2,300 per year – a fraction of UK and US costs.

A further advantage: many Dutch universities employ modern, interactive teaching formats that foster independence and actively engage students in the learning process. At the same time, the institutions are strongly international in character and offer over 2,100 English-taught degree programmes across diverse disciplines.

For those seeking an initial overview, the Dutch Universities Consortium is hosting an informative online webinar on 2 December. The consortium is an association of Dutch universities that provides prospective international students with impartial guidance – from degree structures and application routes to entry requirements.

Application deadlines for most programmes close on 15 January.

Important to note: while gaining admission to degree programmes is often straightforward, finding accommodation proves considerably more challenging. Anyone planning to study in the Netherlands should therefore begin searching for a room or shared flat as early as possible.
