„We want you to belong": a welcome from Barnard Castle School.

David Cresswell, Headmaster of Barnard Castle School (known as Barneys), welcomes the families we are expecting in Munich on 16 October in a short video message.

He shares the line he says to his pupils again and again:

"We don't want you to fit in. We want you to belong."

And he talks about how the environment at Barneys helps students be the best version of themselves.

Barnard Castle School will be at the Künstlerhaus München on Friday 16 October, together with seven other British boarding schools. From 3pm to 6pm, the schools will speak to families in person. Admission is free.

From 6.30pm to 8.30pm, a reception for alumni of the schools follows, and interested families are welcome to ask former pupils about their own time there.
