In our 2025 webinar series, we guide interested families through every stage – from the first questions about whether a British boarding school might be the right choice, to preparing for school visits in England, and understanding the qualifications available at British schools. We explain the structure and distinctive features of the academic programmes and which qualifications are best suited to different goals. With the help of engaging guest speakers, we also offer guidance for planning the next steps after graduation.

In this webinar on 3 September 2025, four of our alumni shared their path to boarding school: what surprised them, what they valued most, and what everyday life in the UK is really like. It was also encouraging to hear how smoothly their return to the German school system – or transition to university – went. Watch the recording here
In our webinar on September 24, 2025, our guests Adam Carr, Deputy Head at Plymouth College, Elaine Purves, Head at Queen Anne’s College, and Arabella Stuart, Education Consultant (formerly Director of Admissions at Sevenoaks School), shared insights into the crucial preparation phase on the journey to boarding school. We discussed how families can make the most of a school visit, which questions parents should ask, what schools pay particular attention to, and how students can present themselves authentically and convincingly in interviews.
We also explained what a so-called CAT4 test is and how to prepare effectively for the written assessments. Watch the recording here
In our webinar on October 8, 2025, we discussed how an academic gap year can serve as targeted preparation for future university studies. The concept of a Foundation Year was presented as an ideal opportunity to make meaningful use of the time after graduation, improve English language skills, explore different fields of study, and prepare specifically for studying in English-speaking countries – not only in the UK. An important point highlighted was that a Foundation Year does not necessarily have to last an entire year: compact 14-week programmes are particularly popular as an introduction to an academic gap year.
